General Information

Membership is offered to photographers and affiliated professionals in the commercial photography industry. CIPNE's mission is to raise the standards of the commercial photographer through educational programs, to promote a support network and the exchange of knowledge, and to recognize the achievements of the professional photographer. CIPNE is a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Massachusetts and relies heavily upon the dedication and contributions of its volunteers. The membership period is twelve (12) months from date application is received.

Membership Benefits

• Free admission to four evening programs held throughout the year. Meetings are held in January, March, September and November. (Non-member admission is $35 per program)
• Free admission to the all-day program in June (Non-member admission is $100).
• Free admission to the two-day Annual Conference, held in April, featuring informative programs, an image competition for members, and door prizes.
• A free link to your own Web site on the official CIPNE Web site at www.cipne.org.
• The satisfaction of belonging to a peer group of professional photographic imagers and educators who share your dedication to the commercial and industrial photographic field.

Membership Categories

GENERAL ($165 per year) - Extended to photography and imaging professionals as well as photographic educators.

STUDENT ($50 per year - CIPNE approved schools only, including Hallmark & NESOP) - Extended only to full-time students who are enrolled in a photographic course of study leading to a degree or certificate in the photographic arts/sciences. Applications must be accompanied by a copy of a valid student ID.

CORPORATE ($330 per year) - Offered to companies that provide services and supplies to professional photographers. Up to two representatives from the company may attend regular CIPNE programs. This category includes a certificate identifying the company as a CIPNE supporter.

LIFE (no dues) - May be offered to members of CIPNE who have been members in good standing for at least the previous five (5) years and have retired from photography or a related business. A request letter must be submitted by those seeking this classification and is subject to approval by the CIPNE Board of Directors.

Applying for Membership

To apply for membership download a membership application and submit it to the CIPNE Treasurer with your dues payment. (On-line membership application coming soon). Members are required to sign the CIPNE Code of Ethics on the application as a condition of membership and are subject to approval by the CIPNE Board of Directors. A membership certificate will be forwarded to you upon acceptance (allow up to six weeks for processing).
