- Jeanine Vitale: Visions of Trees.
- Jeanine's first solo show of color photography and digital photo collage, "Visions of Trees," opens March 14 at the Westboro Gallery. More than just an intriguing collection of tree images, her images are an ode to the local forests where she sought solace after being widowed. “When I'm photographing, I'm looking for mystery and beauty, and sometimes I manipulate the images, because a photograph is never going to be as wonderful as the human eye. The brain imagines things while it sees, but the camera isn't going to imagine, so I manipulate colors and create collages to give you an idea of what you think you saw.” Opening reception Sunday March 16, 2–5pm.
- The Westboro Gallery, 8 West Main St. Westborough MA, 508-870-0110. March 14 through June 2. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m., Sundays 11 a.m.–2 p.m.. Admission is free. Gallery website. Boston Globe article about Jeanine and her work.
