Rick will discuss a wide range of styles and techniques for location lighting that he has developed over the past 25 years as a magazine and commercial photographer. Learn how to blend artificial light and natural light with a few added tricks to create whatever effect you’re trying to achieve.

Award Winning Photojournalist Rick Friedman has been building his lighting style and expertise over his 25-year career.
|
|
His work is published by Time, Newsweek, People, B usiness Week, US News, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, Discovery and a host of other magazines and newspapers around the world. Over 50 of his photographs have appeared on magazine and book covers. Rick’s images are used regularly for corporate brochures, annual reports and advertising. He has worked on films and TV productions where the photographs are used to advertise the project and its stars. Rick has published several books including one on Hillary Clinton and one entitled “Infrastructures.”

Rick has been teaching Location Lighting for 5 years. His seminars have been taught at Fotofusion, the Palm Beach Photographic Center in Palm Beach, Florida, Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts, the National Press Photographers Association Northern Short Course and Flying Short Course, and at several other photo workshops.
